Why we include accessories in the Hartley collection
Men's accessories address a category of carry needs that bags alone do not fully cover. A briefcase or backpack organizes what you carry between destinations. An accessory organizes what you carry within those contexts — the toiletry items needed during a trip, the wallet used throughout the day, the packing cubes that make a duffle bag more efficient.
We value accessories that reduce daily friction without requiring significant adjustment to existing routines. The models we select are straightforward to use, easy to maintain, and designed to remain functional over extended periods. This makes them a practical complement to the larger bags in our collection.
Toiletry bags and dopp kits for travel
A toiletry bag is one of the most frequently used travel items a man carries. In our collection, we select formats that balance internal capacity with a compact external footprint, allowing them to fit easily into a duffle bag, weekender, or carry-on without compromising available packing space.
We prioritize toiletry bags with a structured base that allows them to stand independently on a flat surface, which simplifies use in hotel bathrooms or compact spaces. Internal organization through compartments or pockets helps keep personal care items accessible without requiring unpacking.
For men who travel frequently, hanging toiletry bags offer an additional advantage. A fold-out panel that suspends from a hook or towel bar frees counter space and keeps items visible and organized throughout a stay. Both flat and hanging formats are included in our selection depending on different travel needs.
For the personal-care side of travel, our toiletry bags for men cover both flat and hanging dopp kit formats sized to fit inside a packed bag.
Wallets and card holders for everyday use
A wallet is among the most frequently handled personal items in daily use. We select wallets that address real carry preferences rather than offering multiple versions of a single format. The models in our collection range from traditional bifold designs with full card and bill capacity to slim front-pocket formats and minimal card cases intended for men who prefer to carry as little as possible.
Material plays a significant role in long-term wallet performance. Full-grain leather is selected for its structural durability and its tendency to develop character over time rather than deteriorating. A well-maintained leather wallet holds its shape and improves with use, which distinguishes it from alternatives that degrade quickly under daily handling.
RFID-blocking construction is included in select models for men who prefer additional security for contactless cards. Beyond this feature, our selection focuses on internal layout, slim profile, and material quality as the primary criteria for long-term satisfaction.
For the wallet itself, our men's wallets cover bifold, slim, and RFID formats as part of a complete everyday carry.
Travel accessories for organization and packing efficiency
Beyond toiletry bags and wallets, several smaller accessories address specific packing and travel needs that are often overlooked until absent.
Passport sleeves protect travel documents from wear and keep them accessible during transit. A slim, structured sleeve fits within a jacket pocket or the front compartment of a briefcase without adding visible bulk. We select designs that maintain their shape over repeated use and avoid closures that slow down access at checkpoints.
Shoe bags separate footwear from clothing inside a travel bag, preventing contact between soles and packed items. This is particularly relevant for men who travel with dress shoes or boots alongside shirts and trousers. A compact drawstring format integrates easily into any duffle bag or weekender without using disproportionate space.
Packing cubes improve organization within larger bags by dividing internal space into defined sections. We include canvas formats that compress efficiently and remain lightweight. For the laptop you carry through that same setup, our leather laptop sleeves add a slim protective layer that slips inside a briefcase or backpack.
Leather care and maintenance accessories
Leather bags and accessories perform best when they receive occasional care. We include a conditioning product in our collection specifically formulated for full-grain leather, which is the primary material used across our bag range.
A quality leather conditioner maintains suppleness, prevents surface drying, and extends the usable life of a bag significantly. Applied twice a year, it requires minimal time while producing a measurable difference in how leather holds up over years of regular use. We recommend it for all leather items in the Hartley collection, from bags to wallets and toiletry kits.

Size and capacity
Accessories should be proportional to how and where they will be used. A toiletry bag, for instance, should hold what you need for a trip without taking up a disproportionate share of your bag's internal volume. Similarly, a wallet should carry your essential cards and cash without creating unnecessary bulk in your pocket. Matching accessory size to real daily needs avoids carrying more than required.
Material and durability
For items handled daily, material quality has a direct impact on how long an accessory remains functional and presentable. Full-grain leather is selected for its durability and its ability to maintain structure over time. Canvas is chosen for accessories where lightweight flexibility and easy maintenance are more relevant than structure. The appropriate material depends on how an item will be used and how frequently it will be handled.
Organization and layout
The internal layout of an accessory affects how quickly and reliably it can be used. Toiletry bags with clear compartments reduce time spent searching for items. Wallets with a logical card arrangement simplify daily transactions. We prioritize layouts that support intuitive use without requiring reorganization each time the item is accessed.
Accessories for gifting and complete carry setups
Men's accessories are commonly purchased as gifts, either individually or as part of a curated set. Their practical nature makes them well suited to professional gifting occasions, where a functional item of lasting quality tends to be appreciated more than decorative alternatives.
Accessories also serve as a natural entry point into the Hartley collection for men who want to begin with a smaller purchase before investing in a larger bag. A wallet, a toiletry kit, or a packing set allows a first experience with the quality and construction standards we apply across the full range.
A curated selection of men's accessories
Our collection of men's accessories is curated to address the carry and organizational needs that complement our bags. Each item is selected for its practical function, material quality, and long-term usability rather than visual novelty.
Each accessory is intended to integrate naturally into daily routines and travel habits without requiring adjustment or compromise, whether carried on its own or alongside the bags in our wider collection.
Men's accessories frequently asked questions
What types of accessories are included in this collection
This collection includes toiletry bags and dopp kits, wallets and card holders, passport sleeves, shoe bags, packing cubes, and leather conditioning products. Each item is selected to address a specific organizational or carry need that complements the bags in our range.
What is the difference between a toiletry bag and a hanging dopp kit
A standard toiletry bag is designed to rest flat on a surface and provides structured storage for personal care items during travel. A hanging dopp kit includes a fold-out panel and a hook attachment that allows it to be suspended from a towel bar or hook, which is useful in bathrooms with limited counter space. Both formats serve the same purpose and the best choice depends on travel frequency and bathroom conditions at typical destinations.
Are the wallets in this collection suitable for front pocket carry
Some wallets in our collection are specifically designed for front pocket carry. Slim and card case formats prioritize a minimal profile that does not create visible bulk in a trouser pocket. Bifold formats offer greater card capacity and are typically carried in a back or jacket pocket. The right choice depends on carry habits and how many cards and items need to be accessible daily.
How should leather accessories be maintained
Leather accessories benefit from periodic conditioning to maintain their suppleness and appearance. Wiping with a dry cloth removes surface dust, while a silicone-free leather conditioner applied two to four times per year prevents drying and extends the life of the material. Leather should be kept away from prolonged direct sunlight and dried at room temperature if it becomes wet, rather than using direct heat sources.
Are packing cubes compatible with the bags in the Hartley collection
The packing cubes in our collection are sized to work efficiently inside our duffle bags, weekender bags, and travel bags. They divide the internal space of a bag into organized sections, which simplifies packing and reduces time spent searching for items during a trip. A three-piece set is sufficient for most short to medium trips.
Can accessories be purchased as part of a gift set
Several accessories in our collection are available as part of curated gift sets. These sets combine complementary items into a single purchase, making them practical for professional gifts, anniversaries, or occasions where a functional and lasting item is preferred over a decorative alternative.
