Description
This leather chef knife roll with handle keeps your knives protected, organized and easy to carry from home to the restaurant. It is made from genuine cowhide leather in a deep dark brown, with a natural pull-up finish that shows the grain and softens with use. Roll it up, buckle the two brass straps and carry it by the handle or on the shoulder strap.
Open the roll flat and you get a row of eight stitched knife slots along the bottom edge, sized for chef knives, a paring knife, a boning knife and a honing rod. A long zip pocket sits on the inside flap for a peeler, thermometer, tongs or a spoon. A soft brown suede style lining sits against the blades so the edges stay protected. Knives are not included.
Laid flat, the roll opens to a rectangle of about 15.5 x 10.5 in (39 x 27 cm). It fits an 8 in chef knife with room to spare, and it rolls down small enough for a locker, a car trunk or a shelf in the kitchen.
The outer shell is thick genuine leather with contrast stitching, brass buckles, rivets and rings. Two wide leather straps with adjustable holes hold the roll closed, and a padded leather handle sits on top. Real leather darkens and develops its own character, so small marks and grain differences are part of the look and no two rolls are exactly alike.
Hold it by the top handle for a short walk through the kitchen, or clip on the long adjustable shoulder strap with swivel hooks when you carry more gear. The weight stays close to your body, which makes it easy to carry on the commute or to a pop up dinner.
