Description
This waxed canvas camera backpack looks like a heritage rucksack and works like a gear bag. A genuine cowhide leather flap with buckle straps sits over a rugged waxed canvas body, and a padded compartment with dividers keeps a camera body and lenses protected. It suits photographers who want a camera backpack that does not look like one.
A door at the front opens onto the padded camera compartment, shown in the gallery with a camera and lenses. The dividers let you set the layout around your own gear. The main flap opens onto a separate, roomy space for clothes, a jacket and everyday items, so a day shoot and a weekend away both fit in one bag. Cameras, lenses and other gear shown in the photos are not included.
Inside the main space you get a computer interlayer and a cell phone pocket. The laptop size is not stated by the maker, so compare your laptop with the dimensions below before you order. At 12.2 x 7.1 x 17.7 inches, the capacity is roughly 25 liters, enough for a mirrorless or DSLR kit with a few lenses plus daily carry.
The body is waxed canvas, a cotton fabric finished with wax for a weather-resistant hand feel. It creases and darkens with use, and the cowhide flap develops its own patina over time. The lining is polyester. Because the canvas is waxed rather than sealed, keep it out of heavy rain and let it dry naturally if it gets damp.
The bag comes in khaki for a classic field look, olive green for a warm outdoor tone, gray green for a calmer muted shade, and dark gray for a more discreet city style. Shades can vary slightly from your screen.
Padded shoulder straps let you wear it as a backpack on a hike, a commute or a city walk. A top handle makes it easy to lift into a car or carry by hand, and side straps with buckles keep the load snug against your back.
