A compact canvas messenger bag built around a padded, removable camera insert. It holds a mirrorless or compact DSLR body with a lens or two, and the two front buckle pockets keep small gear within reach.

Description

A camera bag that does not look like one

This canvas messenger bag has the flap and buckle pockets of a classic field bag, with a padded insert inside to protect your camera. Take the insert out and it becomes a small everyday messenger bag.

Padded insert with adjustable dividers

The removable insert has padded walls and dividers you can arrange around your gear. It is made for a mirrorless or compact DSLR body with one or two lenses, such as the Canon R50, Sony A6100 or Fujifilm X-T30 II class of cameras. Under the flap, a zip pocket holds memory cards, a charger or spare batteries.

Compact by design, so check your kit

The bag measures 10.6 x 9.1 x 3.9 in (27 x 23 x 10 cm). It is smaller than a full size camera bag, and one buyer found it smaller than expected. It suits a body with a short lens plus an extra lens or two. It is not meant for a large DSLR with a telephoto lens. Camera, lenses and accessories shown in the photos are not included.

Two front pockets and a flap that closes cleanly

Two buckle pockets on the front hold cards, cables, a lens cloth or a phone. The flap covers the main compartment, and the adjustable shoulder strap lets you wear it across the body on city walks, trips and photo outings.

Three colors

Black (a charcoal gray tone), Coffee and Army Green, all with brown buckle tabs and a brown lining. Canvas is durable, but it is not made for heavy rain.

Care & use

Overview

Canvas is a tough, breathable fabric that softens with use. A little regular care keeps the color and the stitching in good shape.

Cleaning

Brush off dust with a soft brush or dry cloth. For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap and let the bag dry naturally. Avoid machine washing and aggressive scrubbing.

Moisture and heat

This bag is not designed for heavy rain. If it gets wet, take out your gear and the insert, then air dry away from radiators and direct sun.

Everyday use

The bag is compact, so pack one body and one or two lenses rather than a long telephoto setup. Avoid overloading the flap pockets to keep the buckle tabs and seams in shape.

Storage

Store it in a dry, ventilated place with the insert in, so the bag keeps its shape.
