Description
This leather briefcase is a traditional satchel shape: a deep front flap closed with two buckles, a top carry handle and a shoulder strap. It is made from oiled crazy horse cowhide in brown or dark coffee, with the scuffed, warm tones that make the leather look better with age.
Lift the flap and the bag opens wide to a roomy main compartment, shown in the interior photo with notebooks and papers. A zip pocket on the back keeps small items and documents flat and easy to reach. The papers and notebooks in the photos are not included.
The briefcase measures about 15.7 x 13 x 3.5 inches (40 x 33 x 9 cm) and is sized for a laptop up to 15 inches, plus a notebook and documents. The maker notes a 0.4 to 1.2 inch (1 to 3 cm) variation between pieces.
Take it by the top handle at the office, or put the shoulder strap on for the commute. The strap attaches with metal clip hardware at both sides and extends up to about 55 inches (140 cm). The photos show it carried by hand as well as on the strap.
The leather is oiled and waxed. Light scratches lighten the surface and blend back when you rub them with a fingertip, and the color deepens with use. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth, condition it every few months and keep it away from radiators and long direct sun. Shades can vary slightly from your screen.
