Description
This leather horseshoe coin pouch is a flat piece of cowhide with a stitched oval tray in the middle. Open it flat to see your change at a glance, then fold it shut with the two brass snaps and it settles into a horseshoe shape that slips easily into a pocket. It is a simple, compact way to keep loose coins in one place instead of at the bottom of a bag or jacket.
Opened flat, the pouch measures about 5.9 x 2.7 inches (15 x 7 cm) and is roughly 0.1 inch (0.3 cm) thick. It weighs about 1.1 oz (30 g), so you will barely notice it in a pocket. Once snapped shut, the folded pouch is a small, slim half-moon that sits flat against your leg or inside a bag.
This pouch is built for loose change and a few small items. It has no card slots, so it works as a change holder next to your wallet, not as a wallet. Buyers describe it as compact, so expect a handful of coins rather than a full jar. The coins shown in the photos are not included.
The pouch is made from top layer cowhide with a vintage finish, stitched edges and an unlined interior. Every hide has its own grain, marks and tone, so no two pouches look exactly alike, and colors can look slightly different from your screen. The two brass snap buttons hold the pouch closed and add a small metal detail against the leather.
Slip it into a front pocket, a jacket pocket or a bag. To close it, press each snap straight down rather than pulling the leather from the side. Wipe the pouch with a soft dry cloth, and if it gets wet, blot it and let it air dry flat away from heat and direct sun. A drop of leather conditioner once or twice a year keeps the folds supple.
