Description
The Quartermaster takes the classic shoulder tote and adds what it always lacked: four front pockets with leather-buckled flaps, and side gussets you cinch with cords. Phone, keys and sunglasses each get their own place, so you stop digging at the bottom of the bag. The top is open with snap closures at the corners, and small valuables go in the back zip pocket.
The clean utility shape works for anyone: the office, the farmers market, a weekend away. The long handles sit comfortably on the shoulder, even over a coat, and the main compartment takes a book, a tablet, a light jacket and the day's errands. A full-width zip pocket on the back holds flat items.
The body is sturdy cotton canvas, trimmed with leather on the pocket flaps and straps and fitted with metal buckles. The canvas softens and takes on character with use, and the leather darkens over time. It is cotton canvas, not waxed, and is not treated for water, so keep it out of heavy rain. A tablet fits easily, so it suits a tablet more than a laptop. Spot clean the canvas with cold water and treat the leather with a little balm; no washing machine.
