Description
This men's 8 panel newsboy cap pairs a charcoal grey herringbone wool blend with the full, rounded crown that made the baker boy style famous. It adds a vintage British feel to a coat, a work jacket or a simple knit. The shell is a wool blend with a tightly woven herringbone texture in slate grey.
The inside is lined with black quilted satin that adds warmth for fall and winter and helps the crown hold its volume. Eight stitched panels meet at a covered button on top, and a short curved brim keeps the look neat. The construction gives the cap a clear shape that holds up through daily wear.
This cap comes in one adjustable size with an elastic section at the back of the crown.
To measure, wrap a soft tape around your head above the ears and eyebrows, where the cap sits. If your head is at the top of the range, you will get a snug and secure fit.
Wear the newsboy cap with a peacoat on the way to work, with a waxed jacket for a weekend walk or with a plain sweater for a casual dinner. The soft crown packs flat in a bag or a coat pocket for travel, then springs back once you put it on.
The neutral dark grey works with navy, black, tan and olive outerwear and hides daily wear well. Pair it with a wool overcoat and a light scarf for a classic look, or with a canvas jacket and boots for a rugged one. The fuller crown suits a relaxed outfit better than a sharp suit.
Spot clean the wool blend and brush it gently with a soft clothes brush. Let it air dry away from heat and keep it on a shelf or hat stand so the crown keeps its shape.
