1-Year Limited Warranty

Hartley products are covered by a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use, starting from the date of delivery. This warranty is provided by Minish LLC, operating under the brand name Hartley.

This warranty reflects our commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction. We stand behind every bag we ship.

1. What This Warranty Covers

This limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal, intended use of the product, for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery.

Examples of covered defects include:

  • Broken or faulty hardware (zippers, buckles, clasps, rivets) caused by manufacturing issues
  • Defective stitching or seams that come apart under normal use
  • Structural defects affecting the normal use of the bag
  • Lining tears or separation not caused by misuse

2. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This limited warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
  • Natural aging, patina, color variation, or surface marks that are characteristic of full-grain leather
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper care, or unauthorized alterations
  • Water damage, exposure to extreme heat, excessive weight, or improper storage
  • Cosmetic changes that do not affect functionality
  • Products used in a manner not intended or described in our product care guidelines
  • Damage caused during transit by a third-party carrier (covered separately by our shipping policy)

3. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, please contact our customer support team at support@hartleybags.com as soon as you notice the defect, and within one (1) year of receiving your product.

Your request should include:

  • Your order number
  • A brief description of the issue and when it first appeared
  • Clear, well-lit photos showing the defect (close-up and full-product view)

Claims submitted without sufficient information may be delayed or declined. We aim to acknowledge every claim within 2 business days and resolve it within 14 business days of receiving complete information.

4. Warranty Resolution

If a defect is confirmed, Hartley will determine an appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • Repairing the product, or
  • Replacing the product with the same or a comparable item, or
  • Issuing a refund if repair or replacement is not available

This remedy is the sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty. We aim to resolve all warranty claims in a fair and reasonable manner.

5. Shipping Costs

If a warranty claim is approved, Hartley will cover return shipping costs within the United States for verified manufacturing defects. A prepaid return label will be provided after the claim is reviewed and approved. Shipping costs for non-warranty issues remain the responsibility of the customer.

6. Care Instructions

To preserve your warranty and extend the life of your bag, we recommend the following:

  • Store your bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources
  • Avoid overloading beyond the bag's intended capacity
  • Wipe leather surfaces with a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh chemicals or solvents
  • Apply a quality leather conditioner every 3–6 months to maintain suppleness
  • If exposed to rain, let your bag air-dry at room temperature, away from radiators or dryers

Damage resulting from failure to follow these care instructions may not be covered under this warranty.

7. Limitation of Warranty

This limited warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser, with proof of purchase from www.hartleybags.com. It does not extend beyond the one (1) year period described above.

Except as expressly stated, Hartley makes no other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. In no event shall Hartley be liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages arising from the use of our products.

This limited warranty does not affect your rights under applicable consumer protection laws, which may vary by state.

8. Relationship to Other Policies

This warranty is separate from and in addition to our Returns & Refund Policy and Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, this warranty applies solely to manufacturing defects covered above.
