Description
This leather tie case is for the man who travels for weddings, interviews or business meetings and wants his tie to come out of the suitcase the way it went in. Instead of folding a tie between shirts, you roll it and drop it into a firm round case that shoes and toiletries cannot crush. Ties are not included.
The 2-slot case measures about 7.7 x 3.1 x 3.1 inches (19.5 x 8 x 8 cm), roughly the length of a TV remote and as round as a soda can. Each compartment is about 3.3 inches (8.3 cm) wide and holds one rolled necktie with a blade width of 2.4 to 3.1 inches (6 to 8 cm), which covers skinny and standard ties. Measure the widest point of an unusually wide tie before ordering. The 1-slot version holds a single tie for a short trip, and the 2-slot version also takes a spare or a second color.
The case is made of nubuck cowhide, a genuine leather with a soft, lightly brushed surface in a dark coffee tone. Small scars, marks and color variations come from the hide itself, so no two cases look exactly alike. With handling, the surface becomes smoother and softer.
The lid closes with a metal magnetic button: it opens with one hand and stays shut in a packed bag, with no zipper to snag silk. Rolling a tie avoids the sharp creases of folding, and the firm round shell keeps heavier items from pressing on it. The 2-slot case weighs about 7.3 oz (206 g), light enough for a carry-on. At home, it keeps your best ties out of the drawer clutter.
