A waxed canvas backpack built for the daily commute

This men's waxed canvas backpack pairs a rugged, weathered exterior with genuine leather trim on the straps and roll-top flap. It has the presence of a well-worn field pack while staying practical enough for the office, the train, or a weekend trip out of town.

The roll-top closure lets you adjust the opening to what you're actually carrying that day, and the leather buckle straps keep everything cinched down and secure.

Two front pockets that keep small items in reach

A pair of buckled flap pockets sit on the front of the bag, giving quick access to a phone, keys, or a notebook without opening the main compartment.

Inside, a zippered pocket and a padded laptop sleeve keep a computer up to 16 inches separated from the rest of your gear.

Comfortable for the walk to work or the trail

Adjustable canvas and leather shoulder straps distribute the load evenly, and a leather top handle makes it easy to grab and go when you're moving fast.

Care & use

Keeping the wax coating in good shape

Wipe the canvas down with a dry or slightly damp cloth to clear off dust and dirt. Avoid machine washing or soaking the bag, since that strips the wax coating and softens the fabric's water resistance over time.

If the finish starts looking dry or patchy after heavy use, a light reapplication of wax canvas dressing brings back the water-repellent surface.

Caring for the leather trim

Wipe the leather straps and flap trim with a soft, dry cloth. Keep them away from prolonged direct sunlight and heavy moisture, which can dry out or discolor the leather over time.

Packing it for the daily commute

Use the front flap pockets for anything you need quick access to, like your phone or transit card, and keep the laptop sleeve for your computer alone to avoid pressure on the screen.

Roll the top down more or less depending on your load, and cinch the leather straps snug so the bag doesn't sag while you're walking or riding.

Storing it between trips

Store the bag in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight. Leave it lightly packed or stuffed with a towel to help it hold its shape when it's not in use.
